Here is a pool you have started seeing in the fagazines with very good reason. I dont really know what the real name of it is so I just call it the pink square since the tiles and coping are of that color. This was the first pool I skated on this particular trip to California. I wasn't really interested in it when I heard about it because it was square. Thank God I still checked it out anyway. This pool had the perfect corners for a square. Carving in tiles and grinding is not an issue

here and if you carve em tight enough you can hit the death box or ladder on either side. In each corner there is a little hole that you ride over without any real problem but it makes a nice loud sond like a gunshot if you hit it right. It is kind of like a bonus. Not to be out done the 4 inch tiles make a nice rumble aswell. The coping is nice and burly but easily grindable. The deepend is probably 8 or 9 feet deep with a little over a foot of vert. pools is the lack of a fun lowend. If you are lucky, the deepend walls leading back into the lowend will have good enough tranny that you can hit them pretty high and maybe get you enough speed to get a little wallride in the lowend. This pool does not suffer from this same disease. It has a real nice hit in the lowend that will give you more then enough speed to get a second attack in the deep. It might not

the easiest to grind, but it sure changes this square with a good deepend, to a regular kickass pool. A corner over the stairs line should even be possible for some hard ass.
I do not really know what the bust factor or any of that jazz is here but the locals do try to keep care of the place. Its kind of up on this hill and once you got up to it no one was really worried about being seen so that was pretty relaxing. The big boys come and session this place too. Buddy Carr

was killing it while I was there and Wes Humpton showed up as I was leaving. I could have easily skated this pool all day but there was more round wall to be sessioned this day. I will no doubt make an effort to get back to this placenext time I am in the area.
